New Age - Main Page

Many people consider Theosophy to be the origin of the "New Age" philosophy, bringing together the Eastern and Western mystical traditions.

The New Age Movement is not a clearly defined movement with one clear doctrine or set of beliefs or with having an identifiable leader or leaders. New Age Movements are a number of separate groups that tend to be categorized according to their differences from the mainstream world religions. This becomes particularly important when labeling a belief or practice as "New Age;" while many New Age devotees may very well adhere to the belief or practice, it is also a given that many others will not.

Most New Age people believe humankind shape their personal situations and the world in which they live by using your mind. Thus, you can create a world that is or of alignment with a higher spiritual reality, or you can strive to raise your consciousness and bring the world into alignment with this ultimate reality. Many New Age people also believe that we have the ability to communicate with intelligent beings in the spiritual realm and thereby receive spiritual teachings that are not affected by human interpretations or man-made doctrines. In other words, we can find truth from Above instead of trying to define truth here below.
